Leland Blue is an industrial byproduct from the iron foundry that functioned in Leland, Michigan from the late 1800s to the early 1900s. Technically it's a type of blue slag, which is similar to glass. It is greatly valued for it's beautiful colors and use in jewelry. These pebble earrings are sterling silver.
